MEMPHIS – (Baseball) The Tigers of the University of Memphis were able to apply unbending pressure to the Delta Devils of Mississippi Valley State University late in the contest, to seal the victory 13-4, in their favor.

Mississippi Valley took an early lead in the contest, scoring three runs in the first inning. Memphis responded with one of their own in the bottom of the inning. In the second, UM scored four runs for a commanding advantage. Their one run in the third increased their lead.

The Delta Devils scored their final run in the top of the sixth. The Tigers also scored one in the sixth, however they weren't done. They score one in the seventh and five in the eighth to secure the win.

MVSU finished with four runs on five hits and one error.
