HUNTSVILLE – (Baseball) Mississippi Valley began slow, however when the bats warmed up, they pushed Alabama A & M to their limits, however the rally fell short. The Delta Devils fell 9-6.

The scoreboard does not show the essence of the performance put on by Mississippi Valley in today's contest.

The Bulldogs struck first, going up by one run in the first inning. MVSU knotted the contest in the top of the third on a homer by Ivan Garcia.

Feeling the heat placed on them by the Delta Devils, AAMU scored five runs in the bottom of the third. An additional three runs in the bottom of the fourth propelled the Bulldogs forward.

In the top of the fifth, MVSU's Garcia scored again. He was followed by Malkas Lipsey and Paul Hamilton; giving the Delta Devils three runs in the fifth. Alabama A & M scored once in the bottom of the inning.

In the top of the sixth, Christopher McWright scored on a single by Garcia. The wrap scoring, Aaron Barkley singled to score Arrington Smith.  

MVSU finished with six runs on 10 hits and four errors.

Zac Uecker took the loss for the Delta Devils on the mound.
