ITTA BENA – (Baseball) The Delta Devils' baseball team experience a rocky day on the diamond, as they hosted the Hornets of Alabama State University. ASU gained the 14-2 victory in seven innings.

In the first inning, Alabama State managed to score five runs. The Hornets were also able to notch four in the second inning, prior to the Delta Devils scoring one run when Kevin Gonzalez scored on a single by Ivan Garcia.

In the fourth, Alabama State scored their final two runs. Mississippi Valley scored once more in the fifth. Malkas Lipsey scored on a wild pitch to end scoring for the contest.

MVSU tallied two runs, five hits and two errors for the contest.

Dustin Stewart was credited with the loss for the Delta Devils on the mound.
