ITTA BENA, Miss. (Baseball) – The Delta Devils of Mississippi Valley clinched a crucial 5-3 victory over the Bulldogs of Alabama A & M University in Itta Bena, Mississippi, on Friday.

The opening inning was a show of power for both teams as each score two runs. The second and third innings were scoreless for both teams.
AAMU was unable to score in the fourth. In the bottom of the inning, the Delta Devils pushed one runner home.

It was in the fifth that Jackson Webb sent a scorching homer over the center field wall.

The Bulldogs score once more in the top of the seventh to close the gap, however MVSU responded with an insurance run in the bottom of the inning.

Mississippi Valley finished with five runs, six hits and one error.

Arrington Smith took the victory for the Delta Devils on the mound.
