BIRMINGHAM – The Devilettes volleyball team faced off against the Western Carolina Catamounts. In their final contest of the tournament, Mississippi Valley fell 3-0.
MVSU's rotation was solid as each player was given the opportunity to play during the contest. Bianca Watkins rejoined the team during the game, appearing in two sets.
A highlight for the Devilettes was the ace category; MVSU landed five unreturned serves over the Catamounts.
Kalin Barnes stepped up to dish out five kills for the Devilettes. Taylor Selfridge added four kills and one ace. Bianca Watkins scored 11 assists and three aces.
MVSU returns home to prepare for their home season opener on Tuesday, September 19, when they host Dillard University. First serve is scheduled for 6:00 pm.
