DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Mississippi Valley State wide receiver Quinn McElfresh was selected to play in the FCS National Bowl, which will take place Sunday at 12:30 p.m. at Daytona Beach.
A senior from Brainerd, Minnesota, McElfresh caught 31 passes for the Delta Devils in 2018, which ranked second team. He accumulated 246 yards receiving and caught two touchdown passes.
As a junior in 2017, McElfresh led the Delta Devils in receptions and receiving yards with 57 catches for 889 yards; his five touchdown catches that year also led Valley.
The FCS National Bowl is an annual post-season college football all-star game consisting of the top players from college football FCS schools. The inaugural FCS National Bowl was played in December 2014 at FIU Stadium and moved to Daytona Beach Stadium in 2016 which is home to FCS Bethune-Cookman Football.
The National Bowl and FCS Bowl all-star weekend for Non-FBS schools has been the only games of its kind to attract numerous NFL & CFL scouts.
