BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Mississippi Valley State University football program deployed an accurate, long-range weapon in its special teams' arsenal this season and kicker
Marko Jovisic was recognized for it as the man with the booming leg earned All-SWAC Second Team honors.
Jovisic, a graduate student from Chicago, Illinois, set career-highs across the board in his second season in the Mississippi Delta as the primary placekicker and the only player to perform kickoff duties in 2025.
The former Bemidji State Beaver and Santa Barbara City Vaquero went 14-of-17 (82.4%) on field goal attempts with the fourth-longest make in the FCS this season, a 56-yard beauty that split the
Strawberry Stadium uprights in week three at (RV) Southeastern Louisiana.
He also launched a touchback on 10% of his kickoff attempts (5-of-50) while averaging 57.3 yards per kick over 2,867 yards in addition to making four tackles as a last man before the end zone.
The Morton West High School product made a splash nationally as well, ranking among the FCS top 20 for field goals per game (1.17) and top 25 in field goal percentage (82.4%) while coming in at sixth and eighth in the SWAC regarding points scored (60) and points per game (5.0), respectively.
