LAS CRUCES, N.M. - (Baseball) The Delta Devils of Mississippi Valley played a tough opponent in New Mexico State University.
The opening inning was a difficult one as the Aggies walked onto the field with their bats ringing, scoring 11-runs. NMSU was able to continue build, adding three in the second, eight in the third, before adding three runs in the fourth, fifth, and sixth inning.
Mississippi Valley was able to slow their scoring in the seventh, as they only scored one run. The eighth was the final inning of scoring and the Aggies tacked on seven runs, for a total of 39. Over the course of eight batting innings, New Mexico tallied 39 runs on 30 hits.
Mississippi Valley couldn't get the bats to warm up, finished the contest with five hits and four errors.
