JACKSON (Baseball) – In game two of the Mississippi Valley and Jackson State series, the Tigers narrowly escaped with a 9-5 win.
Mississippi Valley tallied five runs, six hits and one error. Zac Uecker was credited with the loss for the Delta Devils.
JSU scored once in the first, third and the seventh. In the fourth and sixth they were able to score three runners in both innings.
Mississippi Valley rallied back, scoring five runs in the eighth. Marshall Parrish singled to right field scoring Willie Johnson and Caleb Collier. Quavante McGregory homered to center field, scoring Parrish and Aaron Barkley.
The rubber match (third game) for the two will be held on Sunday, March 11 at 1:00 PM.
