ITTA BENA - (Baseball) Mississippi Valley's Delta Devils were down initially but they were far from out as their bats heated up and cause a headache for the Bulldogs of Alabama A & M. MVSU took the contest 10-5.

Alabama A & M scored two runs in the opening inning, two in the fourth and once in the sixth. Mississippi Valley didn't score until the fourth, where they scored three runners. An error by the pitcher allowed Wendell Rieves time to score. Jeremiah Barr singled, advanced to second on the throw and landed on third with an error by the catchers as Morgan Lomax dashed across home plate. Marshall Parrish drew the competition into attempting a fielder's choice and Barr scored on an error by the pitcher.

In the fifth, Barr sent a long sacrifice fly to center field to score Aaron Barkley. Parrish reached on an error by the shortstop and Rieves scored. Parrish advanced to second on a passed ball and Lomax scored.

Barkley stepped up and sent a homer over the left wall, scoring Quavante McGregory. In the eight, Lomax singled to score Barkley and Willie Johnson.
Dustin Stewart earned the win for Mississippi Valley, as he pitched all nine innings.

Mississippi Valley will host Alabama A&M University on Saturday at 3 pm.
