GRAMBLING, La. - The Delta Devils will play their second game of a current four-game road swing at Grambling State on Monday night (TV: ESPNU). MVSU has compiled a 12-3 record dating back to the 2011-12 season against the Tigers and the teams split last season matchup each picking up road victories. They last played each other on Feb. 26, 2018 in Grambling where MVSU won 79-74.

THE LAST TIME OUT
Dante Scott scored a season-high 28 points with 21 coming in the second half in a 61-57 loss for MVSU to rival Jackson State on Saturday. The Delta Devils trailed by one (28-27) at halftime led by Jordan Evans' 13 first half points. MVSU went to the free-throw line with 26-seconds left trailing 58-56. Emmanuel Ejeh missed the first free-throw but made the second. After a quick foul, MVSU trailed JSU 60-57 and had one last chance to send the game into overtime. Tereke Eckwood's three-pointer missed and MVSU suffered their sixth straight loss in SWAC play.
DOUBLE FIGURE SCORERS
The senior duo of Dante Scott and Jordan Evans each has scored in double figures in 13 of 22 games this season for MVSU. Currently, Scott is on a three-game scoring streak while Evans has reached it in three of their last four outings.
CRASHING THE BOARDS
The Delta Devils rank No. 1 in the SWAC and No. 67 nationally in offensive rebounds per game (11.8). Senior Emmanuel Ejeh ranks third in the SWAC in offensive rebounds per game (2.4), fourth in both total rebounds (150) and defensive rebounds (4.76) and sixth in rebounds per game (7.1).
SWAC PLAY
MVSU went 4-14 in SWAC play last season, one year after having gone 7-11 in the conference their most wins under fifth year head coach Andre Payne. Over the previous five seasons (2014-15 through 2018-19), MVSU complied a SWAC record of 19-57.
NEWS AND NOTES
- MVSU has shot 36.2 percent from the field in 14 road games, going 0-14 in those contests ... in contrast, MVSU has shot 41.2 percent in seven home games.
- Nine newcomers were added to the 2018-19 Delta Devils team that returned seven players. Senior Gregory Jones-Rollins (10.3) and junior Michael Green (7.3) are the top scoring newcomers for MVSU while junior Aleska Koracin is second on the team in rebounds at 4.5 rpg.
- Emmanuel Ejeh and Dante Scott are the only Delta Devils to record double-doubles this season. Ejeh had 10 points-16 rebounds vs Southeastern Louisiana and then posted 14 points-12 rebounds at Hawai'i. Scott opened the regular season with 10 points-10 rebounds at Nebraska and then had 14 points-11 rebounds vs. Southeastern Louisiana.
- MVSU leads the SWAC in turnovers per game (13.0) and rank second in fewest turnovers (274). MVSU has had no more than 15 turnovers in 20 games this season. They tied a season-low (8) against Jackson State.
- Gregory Jones-Rollins (11.1) leads MVSU in scoring in eight SWAC games played. He made his season debut at Grand Canyon and then started for the Delta Devils in all eight conference games. Jones-Rollins scored a season-high 18 points vs. Alabama St.
