Weather Forces Delta Devils Baseball To Adjust Weekend Series With Jackson State

ITTA BENA, Miss. - Mississippi Valley State baseball's weekend series against Jackson State has been adjusted due to inclement weather. The Delta Devils and Tigers will now play a doubleheader on Saturday and a single game on Sunday.

MVSU will open at home on Saturday, March 16 hosting Jackson State at the MVSU Baseball Field at noon. The second game of the doubleheader is slated for a 3:00 p.m. start. Sunday's action will start at 1:00 p.m. on the campus of MVSU.

The Delta Devils enter the weekend with a 1-5 overall record with a 1-2 SWAC record. Amongst the SWAC, MVSU ranks in the top-three in double plays per game, fielding percentage,  and walks allowed per nine innings. Individually, Aaron Barkley leads the conference in earned run average, hits allowed per nine innings, strikeout-to-walk ratio, strikeouts per nine innings and walks allowed per nine innings.
