Grand Canyon Tops MVSU Men's Basketball

Pheonix, Arizona - Two players reached double-figure scoring led by Junior Terry Collins as the Mississippi Valley State men's basketball team dropped a 88-49 decision to Grand Canyon on Tuesday night. The Delta Devils fall to 0-4 on the year while the Lopes improve to 3-0.

How It Happened
  • MVSU recorded a season-best three-point shooting percentage in the first half with 40 percent(6-15).
  • The Delta Devils led by three at the 14:11 minute mark in the first half, the Lopes then opened the lead to 22 at the half.
  • MVSU shot 28.8 percent (17-59) from the field, 33.3 percent (13-39) on three-point attempts, and 33.3 percent (2-6) at the charity stripe.
  • Terry Collins led the Delta Devils with 12 points and seven rebounds. Collins made four field goals on the road including three three-pointer's. In back-to-back games, he has scored in double-figures.
  • Devin Gordon reached double-figure scoring with 12 points, despite fouling out of the game. 
  • Kam'Ron Cunningham and Caleb Hunter both finished with eight points respectively. Hunter added a season high six assist plus four rebounds.
