Late Run Push Hilltoppers Past Delta Devils

Itta Bena, Miss.- Mississippi Valley State University men's basketball fell 96-69 at Western Kentucky after the Hilltoppers went on a double-digit run late in the second half. Kam'Ron Cunningham notched a game high in scoring with 23 points and three rebounds on Sunday.

How It Happened
  • Devin Gordon played the entire game and scored 21 points with three rebounds and one steal.
  • Caleb Hunter recorded a season high 15 points on six-of-18 shooting.
  • MVSU shot 41.1 percent (23-56) from the field, a season-best three-point shooting percentage of 34.3 percent(12-35), and 91.7 percent (11-12) at the charity stripe, which is also a season high.
  • Kam'Ron Cunningham hit a three-point basket at the 7:07 minute mark in the second half to close the lead to eleven. Western Kentucky closed the game with a 24-8 run. He scored 20 of his 23 points in the second half.
