Delta Devils Fall Short at Mississippi State

Itta Bena, Miss.- The Mississippi Valley State men's basketball team closeout non-conference play with an 87-48 loss to the Bulldogs of Mississippi State on Monday night in Starkville, Mississippi. 

How It Happened 

  • Devin Gordon finished the game with 16 points, six rebounds and two assists. 
  • Terry Collins returned to the starting lineup with 17 points, two rebounds and two assists. 
  • Caleb Hunter scored 10 points, added by two rebounds, three assists and a steal. 
  • MVSU shot 30.9 percent (17-55) from the field, 25.6 percent (10-39) from the three-point line, and 80 percent (4-5) at the charity stripe.
