Itta Bena, Ms.- The Delta Devils complete season sweep of the Bulldogs of Alabama A&M with a 67-61 victory on Monday Night in the R.W. Harrison HPER Complex.

Mississippi Valley was lead by Seniors Michael Green and Torico Simmons from start to finish. Green finished with 21 points and seven rebounds while Simmons had 26 points and two steals. Simmons showed tons of grit tonight by creating shots for others and getting to the free throw line for easy buckets. As a team, Mississippi Valley was 18-23 from the free throw line and Simmons himself had 13 of those shots connecting on 11.

Freshman Quinton Alston shot three of six from behind the three, despite leaving the game early with foul trouble.

Bulldogs finished the game with three players in double digits, including a 18 point, three rebound and two steal performance by Garrett Hicks.

The Delta Devils continue conference play on Saturday as they travel to Alcorn State for a rematch against the Braves.
