Â
- Robert Carpenter was not even on the scouting report according to CBU's commentators after missing the first game and surprised the Lancers with a tied for game-high 17 points on 7-of-16 shooting (43.8%) to go with a trio of boards and a pair of steals.
Â
- Caleb Hunter had another decent shooting evening, dropping 12 points on the home squad while tallying four assists, three rebounds and two steals as well.
Â
- Gary Grant was the final Delta Devil to hit double figures at 11 points, primarily coming from the line (7-for-11) plus five boards on the glass and a tied for team-best three steals.
Â
- Elijah Davis played the point excellently for the second straight outing, registering a MVSU-high five assists and three steals on top of eight points.
Â
- Six-foot-nine Nigerian freshman Daniel Umoh made his presence felt in the paint despite limited minutes, corralling a team-best eight rebounds in just 11 minutes to average one board for every approximately 45 seconds of action.
Â
Notes
Â
- Valley dominated the turnover battle in this matchup, forcing 22 Lancer turnovers while coughing it up only 12 times.
Â
- Due in large part to the wide disparity in turnovers, Coach Hunter's men also put more points on the board off the turnovers by a count of 20 to 16.
Â
After possibly experiencing some jetlag after flying across the entire country and back, the Green and White will get nearly two weeks off to recover before its next contest on Friday, November 26 at Ole Miss (3 p.m.).
