Birmingham, Al.- The Mississippi Valley State Devilettes volleyball team completed the spring volleyball season with a match against the Lady Tigers of Jackson State University in three straight sets by scores of, (25-10,25-18,25-13).
 
The Devilettes were a part of the opening match of the Southwestern Athletic Conference volleyball tournament. They competed against the Lady Tigers who were able to capture the 25-10 edge in the first set. Jackson State then went on to close out the final two sets, 25-18 and 25-13.
 
MVSU was led by Senior Tylia Dixon with eight kills and five digs. Destini Banks had five kills and one block. Ariana Austin led both teams with 20 assists to go along with her three digs and one service ace.
 
"I'm pleased with the play of our team today", said Head Coach Janay Yancey. "We showed tremendous heart. This season brought new unpredictable challenges, and we stayed together and trusted the process. Today we left everything we had on the court".
