Lorman, Miss.- Mississippi Valley State had a conference series against the Alcorn State Braves in Lorman, Mississippi. Only one out of the three games were played due to inclement weather and unplayable field conditions.
Game 1

The Delta Devils came out the gates hot in the first inning, putting up four runs on four hits. Andrew Harris drove in the first run with a single to the left field. Ty Washington then doubled down the line scoring Zachary Dews. Mychael Jamison reached on by an error that
brought in the other two runs in the Inning. Ethan Charles got the start for the Delta Devils and pitched three innings allowing 12 hits and ten earned runs.
The Delta Devils went down 8-4 in the second inning and chipped away in the third with an RBI by Ty Washington. In the fourth inning, MVSU brought the deficit down to one score. Jayson Jimenez doubled to right field that brought in two runs. Andrew Harris later reached first base an error that scored Jayson Jimenez and MVSU then trailed 8-9.
Alcorn State then responded in the bottom half of the inning by putting up a five spot that extended the lead 14-8.
Nick Johnson came into relief and in five innings of work Johnson gave up six hits and four earned runs. In the ninth, Ty Washington got his third RBI of day with a single down the line that drove in Jayson Jimenez.
The final two games of this series has not been rescheduled at this time.
