NACOGDOCHES, Texas – The Mississippi Valley State football program put its first 13 points of the fall 2021 campaign but allowed 58 in defeat the Lumberjacks.

Caleb Johnson had more rushing yards (89) than the entire Stephen F. Austin team (55) and punched in the Delta Devils' touchdown of Fall 2021 with a 15-yard run in the second.
 
Conor Regan passed for 99 yards, 40 of which went to his favorite target on the evening, Malik Myers, who went for four catches and 40 yards.
 
Deione Reed led all defenders with eight tackles, adding a tackle for loss as well.
 
Eric Powell and Jalen Bell brought down the quarterback for sacks with Bell accumulating 2.5 tackles in the Lumberjacks' backfield.
 
William Morgan locked down his side of the field, swatting away three passes while showing traits of a lockdown corner.
 
Orlando Fernandez knocked through his first two field goals of the year, putting one through the uprights from both 43 and 32 yards out on top of his lone PAT attempt.
