MURRAY, Ky. – The Mississippi Valley State football program had a rough outing in its Thursday Night debut, falling on the road to the Racers by a score of 35-0.

Kenneth Martin captured the first turnover of the 2021 fall campaign, intercepting a Preston Rice pass to go along with three solo tackles.

William Morgan and Ronnie Thomas each picked up a sack with the former notching a pass breakup while the latter had three tackles.

Six different defenders recorded a tackle for loss but only one had multiple; Volme Swanier, who had two while tying Keonte' Daniels and Andrew Bloodsaw for the team-high of six tackles.

Conor Regan registered 56 passing yards and added 14 yards on the ground, Caleb Johnson led the running back room with 38 plus a nine-yard catch and wideout Dederrian Williams topped the receiving corps at 22 yards on two receptions.
