ITTA BENA, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State athletics program has just one home game this week after both home volleyball matches were cancelled as football will be the only show in town with its 3 p.m. homecoming showdown with the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats.
 
Friday, October 22:
 
Head Coach Frank Davies returns to where it all began when he leads his Devilettes soccer team into Huntsville to face Alabama A&M. Davies spent 17 years at the helm for the Lady Bulldogs, winning a pair of SWAC Championships in the process.
 
Saturday, October 23:
 
The football team will be searching for its fourth consecutive win on Homecoming dating back to 2017 when it hosts the Wildcats of Bethune-Cookman. B-CU was one of the Delta Devils' four wins a season ago, using two fourth quarter touchdowns from Caleb Johnson to stun the Cats in Daytona Beach, 20-14.
 
Sunday, October 23:
 
Soccer plays its final road match of the year at Alabama State beginning at 1 p.m. while volleyball also takes on the Lady Hornets across campus inside Lockhart Gymnasium at 3 p.m. the same day.
 
Monday, October 24:
 
Bright and early Monday morning, cross country will be taking to the trail at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee for the 2022 SWAC Championship meets in hopes of coming home with the athletics department's first conference title since the women's team captured the crown in 2017.
 
Volleyball makes its second trip to T.M. Elmore Gymnasium on the campus of AAMU this campaign for a road tilt with the Lady Bulldogs at 6 p.m. after spending the first SWAC Round-Up inside the same building.
