HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Mississippi Valley State University volleyball program was hoping to launch a winning streak but ended up having to abort the mission as Alabama A&M came away with a 3-0 triumph.

Mississippi Valley State Top Performers
 

• Chardea Berthelot tied her career-high for digs from earlier this season by notching 14 (4.67 p/s) while leading the Green and White with six kills plus contributing the team's only two service aces, her second multi-ace outing of 2022 and capturing a solo block.

 

• Chariah Mabry had the other block, also by herself, while Seerdyn James tallied her third multi-assist night of the season.

 

• Mallory Lamport has emerged as the go-to libero and defensive specialist, cateloging nine digs on top of picking up an elusive libero kill, the second of her career.

 
Notes
 

• This was the first time in 2022 that the Devilettes recorded more digs than their opponent, logging 32 while AAMU had 30.

 
Coach Prince and her road warriors head to The Bluff on Halloween weekend to face Texas Southern, Alcorn, and the host Southern Lady Jags in  Baton Rouge.
