HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss. – Beginning this year's countdown of Mississippi Valley State's ten most memorable wins of the 2021-22 athletic calendar is the first of two honorable mentions as volleyball took to the road and delivered a beatdown of the Rust College Bearcats in a 25-12, 25-18, 25-11 sweep inside W.A. McMillan Center.

As a team, MVSU won every single statistical battle including points (75-41), kills (35-12), service aces (14-8), blocks (4-2), assists (33-11), digs (30-25), and hitting percentage (.321 to -.062). 
 
The Devilettes had its best offensive outing of the 2021 campaign, logging its most aces and best attack percentage of the year as well as the highest number of both kills and assists for a three-set match. 
 
Three different ladies in Green and White set season-highs for service aces as Jeila Fullerton (4) led the charge followed by Victoria Mallard (career-high 3), and Kiya Garza (3) with Garza's three points being a season-best as well. 
 
Keymara Coleman also joined the season-best party but in a different manner, contributing 12 assists. 
 
Team leaders on the evening were Chardea Berthelot who clubbed nine kills, Sydney Ross who had 15 assists, and Garza totaled 11 digs. 
 
The second honorable mention victory will be announced later today at approximately 2 p.m.
