ITTA BENA, Miss. - Mississippi Valley State Athletics has selected softball's junior catcher Kaitlyn Harper as its Athlete of the Week for her performances in the opening of conference play. 

In the weekend series against Alabama State, the Devilettes closed the 0-2 with the third game suspended. 

Harper tallied five at-bats, two hits, and one run against the Lady Hornets.

The Devilettes will travel to Jackson, Miss., to compete in a weekend series against Jackson State Lady Tigers beginning on Friday, March 17. 

Friday, March 17 at 5:00 p.m.

Saturday, March 18 at 1:00 p.m. 

Sunday, March 19 at 1:00 p.m.
