HOUSTON, TX - Mississippi Valley State University's men's basketball falls to Texas Southern University 93-61 at the Health and Physical Education Arena on Monday night.
The teams were tied at 15 with 12:40 remaining in the first half, but TSU scored 31 points in the remaining 12:40 and MVSU found themselves trailing 46-29 at halftime.
Rayquan Brown had a near double-double in the first half scoring nine points and grabbing nine rebounds.
After intermission, TSU managed to keep control to go on to win 93-61 over MVSU.
MVSU was led by
Rayquan Brown who finished the game with a double-double scoring season high 24 points and season high 17 rebounds.
Danny Washington and
Arecko Gipson both added eight points and two rebounds.

- MVSU led with the largest lead being four (16:34 in the 1st half). TSU led with the largest lead being 33 (7:12 remaining in the 2nd half)).
- MVSU led TSU in 2nd chance points 17-12.
- MVSU scored 30 points in the paint.
- MVSU won the rebounding battle 42-39 with 23 of those rebounds being on the offensive glass.
- MVSU shot 33.8 percent (24-of-71) from the floor and 42.1 percent (8-of-19) from the free throw line.
- TSU shot 56.7 percent (34-of-60) from the floor and 72.2 percent (13-of-18) from the free throw line.
