ITTA BENA, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State University athletics program recognizes women's track and field's Kaylan Clayton and men's basketball's Rayquan Brown as the MVSU student-athletes of the week.
 
Each week, MVSU Office of Athletic Communications recognizes two student-athletes. This award recognizes student-athletes who have excelled in competition, in the classroom, and in the community over the past week, exemplifying the Championship Culture of MVSU.

Kaylan Clayton, a sophomore from Porterville, Mississippi ran a PR (7.65) in the 60 meters indoor this past weekend during competition at the Bulldog Invitational hosted by Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama.
 
Rayquan Brown, a senior from Atlanta, Georgia averaged 23 points, four rebounds, two blocks, and 1.5 steals this past week in competition against Jackson State University and Alcorn State University.

Women's Track and Field: 
The Mississippi Valley State Devilettes will travel to Birmingham, Alabama for SWAC Indoor Championships on Saturday February 17th through Sunday 18th at 8:30 a.m.
 
Men's Basketball:
The Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils will travel to Alabama A&M on Saturday February 17, 2024 at 2:00PM. The game will be streamed on HBCUGO TV.
