ITTA BENA, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State University athletics program recognizes women's basketball's
Sh'Diamond McKnight and men's baseball's
Jesus Campa as the MVSU student-athletes of the week.
Each week, MVSU Office of Athletic Communications recognizes two student-athletes. This award recognizes student-athletes who have excelled in competition, in the classroom, and in the community over the past week, exemplifying the Championship Culture of MVSU.
McKnight was impressive in Mississippi Valley State's weekend of competition over Texas Southern and Prairie View A&M. McKnight, a Bossier City, Louisiana native averaged 21.5 points, 10 rebounds, five steals, and three assists per game.
Starting pitcher
Jesus Campa earned the win as MVSU defeated Jackson State 7-3 this past weekend in competition. Campa, an El Paso, Texas native pitched seven innings, struck out five batters, and allowed zero runs in the win.

The Mississippi Valley State Devilettes will travel to University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff Saturday March 2, 2024. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. and will be broadcast on

Men's Baseball:
The Mississippi Valley State Diamond Devils will host a doubleheader on Saturday March 2, 2024 against Harris-Stowe State University. Games are scheduled at 12:00 p.m and 4:30 p.m
