ITTA BENA, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State University athletics program recognizes women's basketball's
Aaliyah Duranham and men's basketball's
Danny Washington as the MVSU student-athletes of the week.
Each week, MVSU Office of Athletic Communications recognizes two student-athletes. This award recognizes student-athletes who have excelled in competition, in the classroom, and in the community over the past week, exemplifying the Championship Culture of MVSU.
Aaliyah Duranham,
a freshman from Griffin, Georgia scored 17 points, grabbed seven rebounds this past week during competition versus University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff. Duranham shot 72.7 percent on 8-of-11 field goals, dished out two assists, and collected one steal.
Danny Washington, a senior from Greenville, Mississippi scored 22 points, three rebounds, one steal, and one assist this past week in competition against University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff. Washington shot a season high five 3-pointers.
