PHOENIX, Ariz. – Mississippi Valley State University guard,
Rayquan Brown, has been selected to play in the third annual HBCU All-Star Game hosted during Final Four weekend in Phoenix at Grand Canyon University announced on Monday.
The game features 24 seniors who play for HBCU schools and will take place on Sunday, April 7 at 4:00 p.m. ET airing live on both CBS and Paramount Plus.
Brown (Sr., 6-6, Atlanta, GA.) averaged 18.3 points per game this season playing 30 games and starting each one. Brown also averaged a team-high of 6.0 rebounds and 35.5 minutes per game in his final season.
Brown's season-highs included 39 points against University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff in March, 17 rebounds at Texas Southern University in January and played 43 minutes at Pacific in November.
Brown was named Southwestern Athletic Conference Co-Impact Player of the Week this season and has also been named MVSU player of the week six times this season.
Brown is set to compete on Team Ben Wallace with Texas Southern's head coach Johnny Jones coaching the team alongside Lincoln (PA) University's head coach Jason Armstrong.
