ITTA BENA, MS. – Mississippi Valley State University Baseball won 15-5 in first game on Saturday March 2 at Magnolia Field to take the lead in the series 1-0 over Harris-Stowe State University.
A homerun by
Dreylin Holmes ends the game in the eighth inning as Valley takes game one in the series . Valley recorded 16 hits in the game and scored nine runs in the seventh inning.
Starting pitcher
Armando Sierra earned the win for Valley. Sierra surrendered eight hits, five runs over eight innings, striking out four and walking zero..
Jodany Ofarril-Ortiz went 3-for-4 with a solo homerun and three RBI's for MVSU.
