ITTA BENA, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State University athletics program recognizes women's softball's
Breeauna Troup and men's baseball's
Benny Hernandez as the MVSU student-athletes of the week.
Each week, MVSU Office of Athletic Communications recognizes two student-athletes. This award recognizes student-athletes who have excelled in competition, in the classroom, and in the community over the past week, exemplifying the Championship Culture of MVSU.
Troup was a spark in Mississippi Valley State's weekend of competition against Alabama A&M University. Troup, a Gulfport, Mississippi native went 4-9 with two doubles, two singles, and five RBIs. Troup scored two runs in the series.
Hernandez was an offensive force in Mississippi Valley State's weekend of competition against Alabama A&M University. Hernandez, a Cedar Hill, Texas native went 5-10 with three singles, one triple, and one homerun. Hernandez scored four runs in the series.

The Mississippi Valley State Devilettes will travel to Alabama State University Friday April 12, 2024. Game is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
