In a challenging game in Thibodaux, Louisiana, Mississippi Valley State University (MVSU) showed resilience and effort on the field, facing Nicholls in a matchup that tested their resolve. Although the final score was 66-0, MVSU demonstrated heart and determination from start to finish.

MVSU's defense worked tirelessly, with standout performances by Chaunnsey Triplett, who led with 8 tackles, and Brandon Purifoy, contributing 5 total tackles. The defense, although under pressure, kept pushing back against Nicholls' high-powered offense, showing glimpses of their potential as they forced a fumble in the second quarter.
