BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The Mississippi Valley State University men's basketball program had a pair of 20-point producers on Saturday afternoon at Cal State Bakersfield, but the rest of the offense could not keep up the pace as the Roadrunners sped past the Delta Devils, 86-70.

- Following up on his Rainbow Classic All-Tournament Team selection last week, Daniel Mayfield put together his second double-double of the campaign via a team-high 22 points and ten rebounds while also blocking one of the club's two shots as well as shooting 50% from the field.

- Michael James was highly efficient in his 20 minutes of playing time, going for exactly 20 points on 6-of-9 (66.7%) overall which included making both of his three-point tries and all six of his freebies.

- Lamont Sams was the lone defensive student-athlete to notch a multi-steal outing (2) whereas Delkedric Holmes made a mark in every statistical category courtesy of five points, two assists, plus a steal, block, and board apiece.

- Patrick Punch (6) and Chance Sutton (5) put quality work in down low in the post, the former placing an additional eight points on the scoreboard.
