COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Mississippi Valley State University men's basketball program put its most points on the scoreboard versus an NCAA Division I opponent of the Ivory era and the most against the highest level of competition since February 14, 2022, putting together impressive offensive numbers at the SEC's Texas A&M in a 120-84 setback.

- Michael James went ballistic opposite an Aggies squad that was a #4 seed in the 2024-25 NCAA Tournament, pouring in a game-high 32 points over 33 minutes, shooting 66.7% (10-for-15) and a ridiculous 7-of-10 (70%) from downtown, in addition to converting each of his five free throw attempts and dishing out a quartet of assists.

- X'Zaevion Barnett made his second appearance of the young season and was impressive off the bench, topping all players on either side with nine rebounds, seven assists, and three steals plus seven points.

- Daniel Mayfield made his post presence felt by leading the Devils in blocked shots (3) while also cataloging five points, five boards, and a trio of assists as well.

- Lamont Sams joined Mayfield in the multi-block club by rejecting a pair, dropping ten points in 19 minutes whereas Samuel Murray eclipsed the double-digit points threshold by registering 13 during only 15 minutes of action, going 5-of-6 (83.3%) in limited reps.
