JACKSONVILLE, Ala. – The Mississippi Valley State University baseball program fell victim to one bad inning (nine-run fifth) in an otherwise competitive contest with plenty of positives to take away from its 15-3 loss at Jacksonville State.

Diamond Devils' Top Performers:
- Eric Williams drove in all three of the club's RBIs on two swings; a single and a sacrifice fly.
- Jace Jones was the most productive reliever to log multiple frames, tossing two scoreless while surrendering just one knock.
- The other two spotless outings came from Brock Lenhardt and Matthew Cuzco, both striking out a pair while Lenhardt went three-up, three-down.
- Ty Burns reached in each of his four plate appearances as he walked twice as well as singled and got hit by a pitch, scoring once to top it off.
- Israel Ramos smoked the team's lone extra-base hit of the evening (double) whereas Jaxon Haynes worked two free passes.
