Daniel Mayfield and the usual scoring theatrics of
Michael James, however, a one-man bench saw the Delta Devils behind the eight ball from the jump which helped Alcorn take the dub, 74-66.

- Mayfield pieced together his fifth double-double of the year, leading all participants with 11 rebounds alongside 13 points in addition to tallying a season-high four assists plus Valley's lone block.

- James was even more efficient than normal, showing off his accuracy at a 57.1% clip (12-of-21) and a trio of triples, ultimately landing on a contest-best 28 points.

- X'Zaevion Barnett showed off his potential, setting personal benchmarks regarding points (13), assists (7), and free throws made (7), the middle two of those statistics being the most for either squad.

- Mussa Mzein logged scored seven and Jonathan Pace brought down half as many free throws against Alcorn (4) than he had prior to the night (8).
