Diamond Devils' Top Performers:

  • Aiden Meyer opened up the floodgates by delivering a massive grand slam in the eighth inning to widen the MVSU lead to 12-5 while also contributing a one-run double in the third for a vital five-RBI day in Jackson.

  • Israel Ramos led the hit party by going 3-for-6 with a trio of singles, driving home a run in the process and scoring twice.

  • Jace Jones opened the game on the mound and was terrific, tossing three scoreless innings while allowing just one hit and two walks, whiffing three Braves.

  • Stephen Landaz was one of three Devils with multiple knocks, picking up two ribbies in addition to a walk, a stolen base, and a hit-by-pitch.

  • Kendall Brookins tallied three RBIs but only needed one swing of the bat to do so, plating a pair on a double and then earning the other by getting plunked by a pitch.

  • Kobe Ladd went 1-2-3 in the bottom of the ninth to seal the dub, extending his scoreless inning streak to 4.2 to open 2026, the one run charged to him so far over three appearances being unearned.
