THE DELTA | Mississippi Valley State Athletics enters another busy week as the Delta Devils prepare for competition in cross country, volleyball and football.

The MVSU cross country program will open its 2026 campaign Friday at the Mississippi College Opener in Clinton, Mississippi. The meet will provide the Delta Devils with their first opportunity to compete this season as they begin preparations for the 2026 Southwestern Athletic Conference Championships.

Volleyball returns to the R.W. Harrison HPER Complex on Saturday to host the Mississippi Valley State Tri-Match. The Delta Devils will begin the day against Wiley University at 11 a.m. before closing the event against Nicholls State at 3 p.m.

Fans are encouraged to come out and support the Delta Devils as they welcome both programs to Itta Bena for an exciting day of volleyball.

The MVSU football team will head west for its second consecutive road contest, visiting Sacramento State on Saturday at 7 p.m. The Delta Devils will look to build on their season opener as they face the Hornets in Sacramento, California.

Single game football tickets for the 2026 season are available now through the official MVSU Athletics app and online ticketing platforms.
