THE DELTA | Mississippi Valley State University has announced its 2026–27 men's basketball schedule, highlighted by an opening road trip through Oklahoma and the Pacific Northwest and a matchup at Arkansas as Mike Davis enters his first season as head coach.

The Delta Devils open the season Friday, Nov. 6, at Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma. The matchup begins a four-game opening swing that will take Valley through three states during the first eight days of the campaign.

MVSU then travels to Seattle to face Washington on Monday, Nov. 9. That contest begins a stretch of three games in five days in the Pacific Northwest, with a pair of matchups in Oregon to follow.

Valley visits Oregon in Eugene on Wednesday, Nov. 11, before heading to Corvallis to meet Oregon State on Friday, Nov. 13. The two Oregon stops complete the opening trip and give Davis and the Delta Devils an early test with limited time between games.

Valley visits Arkansas on Friday, Nov. 20, adding another highlight to its nonconference schedule. The matchup with the Razorbacks joins a slate that includes road games at Michigan on Dec. 1, UConn on Dec. 8, Mississippi State on Dec. 15 and Ohio State on Dec. 22.

Following the Arkansas matchup, MVSU visits New Mexico on Nov. 25 to finish November. December also includes games at North Texas on Dec. 6 and Tulane on Dec. 18, along with consecutive road dates at Texas Tech on Dec. 28 and Baylor on Dec. 29.

Southwestern Athletic Conference play begins Saturday, Jan. 2, at Alabama State, followed by a Jan. 4 visit to Alabama A&M. The Delta Devils make their home debut

Saturday, Jan. 9, against Prairie View A&M in Itta Bena before welcoming Texas Southern on Monday, Jan. 11.
