Box Score ATLANTA -- The Mississippi Valley State women's basketball team ended its non-conference schedule Sunday with a 63-48 loss to Charlotte in the consolation game of the Holiday & Hoops Tournament held at the GSU Sports Arena.
The Devilettes (3-8) will be at Arkansas Pine Bluff on Wednesday in its conference opener.
Alia Frank led MVSU with 14 points and five rebounds while Jasmyne Sanders added 10 points, accounting for nearly half of the Devilettes' 21 bench points. But turnovers plauged the Devilettes as the committed 21 in the game and turned them into 14 points.
Hilary Sigmon led Charlotte with 18 points and Jennifer Hailey chipped in 16 points and 10 rebounds.
Charlotte out-rebounded Valley 41 to 27 and shot 42.6 percent from the field.
MVSU shot 37.5 percent and made 3-of-4 free throws.
