Box Score PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas -- The Mississippi Valley State women's basketball team earned its sixth straight victory Saturday using a 58-53 victory over Prairie View A&M.

Khristina Clemons recorded a season-high 17 points for the Devilettes (13-12, 10-4 SWAC) while Joncyee Sanders added 13 points, seven rebounds and five assists.

Kiara Etienne led Prairie View (9-14, 6-7 SWAC) with 15 points and Jeanette Jackson chipped in 11 for the Lady Panthers.

MVSU trailed for much of the second half until a Lenise Stallings layup gave the Devilettes a 49-48 lead with 5:35 left. Valley never relinquished the lead.

MVSU, which lead 27-25 at halftime, shot 35.7 percent and made 15 of 22 free throws. Prairie View shot 33.9 percent.

The Devilettes will play their final road game of the season Monday at Texas Southern. Tip off is set for 5:30 p.m.
