The Mississippi Valley State men's basketball team will host defending MEAC champion North Carolina Central on Saturday, Dec. 20 at The Pinnacle on the campus of Coahoma Community College.
Tipoff is set for 3 p.m. and admission will be free.
MVSU (1-9) will be looking to rebound from a 71-64 road loss at Northern Illinois while NCCU (7-5, 2-0 MEAC) is coming off a 108-52 route over Barber-Scotia.
Valley fans will see a familiar face in an NCCU uniform as former Delta Devil guard Anthony McDonald is now a member of the Eagles. The Aberdeen, Miss. native is second in scoring on the NCCU team, avergaing 12.7 points per game.
McDonald will have his hands full, however, with Jordan Washington who leads the Delta Devils with nearly 15 points per game and is coming off a career best 21-point performance at NIU.
Following Saturday's game, the Delta Devils have just two additional non-conference games on its schedule: Dec. 28 at Houston and Dec. 31 at Iowa State.
