ITTA BENA, Miss. (Men's Outdoor Track and Field) - Mississippi Valley's Laval Davis has qualified for the NCAA East Regional Track and Field meet in the 400-meter. 

Davis is a junior from Jacksonville, Florida; therefore, the Regional Meet being held at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, is close to being a home meet for him.

Davis recorded his personal best time in the 400m dash with a time of 46.6, thus making him one of 48 NCAA Division I competitors seeking to qualify for the Nationals in Eugene, Oregon on June 6-9.

Regionals will be held from May 24-26.
