Itta Bena, Miss.- The Mississippi Valley State Devilettes volleyball team close out regular season competition on the road against the Lady Tigers of Jackson State University in three straight sets by scores of, (25-22,25-12,25-15).

The Devilettes played a close first set with a late surge by the Lady Tigers to capture the 25-22 edge. The Tigers then went on to close out the final two sets, 25-12 and 25-15.

MVSU was led by
Chardea Berthelot with 11 kills, one dig and one service ace. Freshman
Mai Palmer had five kills and one dig.
Ariana Austin led both teams with 13 assists to go along with her one kill and one service ace.

The Devilettes will compete in the Southwestern Athletic Conference Volleyball Tournament as the No. 8 seed. The Tournament is set to begin on Friday at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama.
