PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – The Mississippi Valley State University women's basketball program embark on its first SWAC road swing of 2022 as it travels to PVAMU.

Mississippi Valley State Overview

Forcing mistakes has been the biggest strength of this Devilette squad, causing the 15-th highest turnover rate in the nation at 22.60 a ballgame.

Ronni Williams has established herself firmly at the top of the SWAC as she leads the conference in steals per game (2.30) on top of placing second for assists a contest (3.5).

Mikayla Etienne is second to only Anisja Harris at Florida A&M in terms of three-pointers a game with nearly two a night (1.90) as well as a top-five placement for steals per game as well (2.00).

Sarah Moore has provided the size for Coach Walker-Johnson, hauling in 7.2 boards per outing to slot in fifth amongst her league peers.
 
Scouting The Opponent: Prairie View A&M Lady Panthers

Before taking care of Grambling State on Monday, Prairie View's only other three victories came courtesy of NAIA competition (Huston-Tillotson, Jarvis Christian & Paul Quinn).

The Purple and Gold currently front the conference in assists per game at 14.6 and are top-45 nationally regarding steal average (10.4).

Most of the squad's production have come from the trio of Brittany Garner, Gerlyn Smith, and Diana Rosenthal.

Garner slots in seventh leaguewide with 1.33 blocks a night, Smith produces 10.2 points and a team-best 7.2 rebounds per night plus Rosenthal is the leading scorer at 12.5 points to go along with a SWAC-high 29 steals.
