ITTA BENA, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State University athletics program recognizes football's Caleb Johnson and women's volleyball's Mikayla Lee as the MVSU student-athletes of the week.
 
Johnson, a redshirt junior running back from Memphis, Tennessee, scored the team's lone touchdown on Saturday evening with a career-long 44-yard catch-and-run that ended with him celebrating in the end zone. His 48 receiving yards was a new personal-best and was the Delta Devils' top mark versus Alcorn while also piling up a game-high 64 rushing yards to push him past the century mark for the night at 102 yards from scrimmage.
 
Lee, a freshman setter from East St. Louis, Illinois, notched a career first in the SWAC Round-Up finale versus Grambling State, recording a double-double of 13 assists and ten digs. Over the weekend, she averaged 4.11 assists (37 total), 2.11 digs (19 total), 0.44 aces (4 total), 0.22 kills (2 total), and 0.11 blocks (1 total).

Football travels to Alabama State on Saturday for a 2 p.m. clash with the Hornets while volleyball comes home to begin a four-game homestand with Bethune-Cookman at 6 p.m. on Friday.
