Football Hosts Alcorn, Volleyball Heads To SWAC Round-Up, Soccer Concludes Homestand

ITTA BENA, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State athletics program welcomes Alcorn, Prairie View A&M and Texas Southern to campus while volleyball travels to Huntsville, Alabama in the week ahead.
 
Friday, October 7:
 
Soccer will host its seventh match out of eight on the season, going up against the Lady Panthers of PVAMU at 4 p.m.
 
Both the Delta Devils and Devilettes basketball programs will co-host Valley Madness beginning at 7 p.m. inside the R.W. Harrison HPER Complex. The event will have a faculty/staff vs. Greeks pickup basketball game, introductions of each hoops squad, and they will be raffling off a 50-inch TV for only $2 per ticket.
 
Saturday, October 8:
 
The football team returns to the friendly confines of Rice-Totten Stadium to face Magnolia State rival Alcorn at 6 p.m. with the theme being a "Young Alumni Reunion". Fans are encouraged to "Green Out" the Delta with green Valley apparel which can be bought here.
 
Sunday, October 9:
 
Sunday will be the busiest day of the weekend with three matches happening throughout the course of the day.
 
Volleyball will start off the SWAC Round-Up on the campus of Alabama A&M University with an 11 a.m. morning matchup with Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
 
Soccer is up next with its final match of an extended seven-game homestand versus Texas Southern at 1 p.m. in the Mississippi Valley Soccer Complex.
 
Finally, volleyball participates in its second contest of the day, going toe-to-toe with Prairie View A&M at 3 p.m. in T.M. Elmore Gymnasium.
 
Monday, October 10:
 
Volleyball finishes the SWAC Round-Up with a Monday morning matinee at AAMU opposite the unblemished (SWAC) Grambling State Lady Tigers at 11 a.m. once again.
