ITTA BENA, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State athletics program will play its first football game on ESPN U since 2014 and both basketball teams get their seasons underway during the next seven days.

Thursday, November 3:

Delta Devils football will take part in its second Thursday night showdown of the season, welcoming Alabama A&M to the Delta for a prime time matchup under the lights on ESPN U. The Green and White will make just its third appearance on the network over the past decade with its last event taking place versus Grambling nearly eight years to the day on November 6, 2014.

Thursday's theme will be Greek Night as we show love to the fraternities and sororities on campus while all fans are encouraged to wear
gray.

Friday, November 4:

Volleyball will play its final match in the Magnolia State this season, making the short trek to Jackson State for a date with the Lady Tigers at 6 p.m.

Monday, November 7:

Delta Devils hoops opens up the 2022-23 campaign in a Monday morning matinee with an 11 a.m. tipoff against fifth-ranked Baylor, who will be tipping off its final full season inside the Ferrell Center against Coach Ivory's men after earning a top seed in March Madness last year.

The Devilettes basketball squad will also participate in its final warm-up before diving into the games that count, hosting Tougaloo College in an exhibition at 5:30 p.m. with free admission at the R.W. Harrison HPER Complex.
