ITTA BENA, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State University men's basketball program returns from its excursion to Hawaii for its first and only home contest of non-conference play when the Delta Devils host the Lions of North Alabama Friday evening.

Mississippi Valley State Overview:
 
Terry Collins has returned to his role as the team's top all-around player this season, leading the nation with a perfect free-throw percentage plus a top-35 free throw made total (17-of-17) while also slotting in the top-five leaguewide for points (55), rebounds (25) and three-pointers (8) to go along with a team-best 13.8 points and 5.3 rebounds per game average.
 
Alvin Stredic is the Robin to Collins' Batman for Coach Ivory's guys, following just behind the veteran with 11.0 points and 4.0 boards a night.
 
Danny Washington claims the role of top defender early on with the SWAC's seventh-most steals (6) while Michael Barber sits in ninth for total blocks at three.
 
Scouting the North Alabama Lions:

UNA has coasted in a pair of games against NAIA competition (Oakwood and Blue Mountain) on top of defeating Alabama A&M on the road en route to a 3-0 start.
 
The Purple and White have lit up the scoreboard in its trio of matchups, slotting sixth in the country for field-goal percentage (57.8), eighth for scoring offense (97.3), and has a top-20 rebounding margin to boot (14.3).
 
Two Daniels, Braster and Ortiz, have been the catalysts for the offensive onslaught as the former has made 83.3% of his shot attempts while the latter has sank an average of 4.33 triples a contest to sit in sixth nationally with a conversion rate of 61.9%.
